  • Yes, you are welcome to send your CV and Personal Statement at least 2 hours in advance of our meeting to be reviewed. Any other documents you’d like to be reviewed can be shared during our session.

  • Stages of CV and Personal Statement development:

    • Stage 1 refers to when clients brainstorm ideas, gather information, ask questions, apply their knowledge to the document(s), and seek clarification. Based on this, I believe a 1:1 zoom consultation would be the most effective support for you. Consultations allow us to share relevant resources, further brainstorm ideas, and provide advice on applicants background and skills to the application. Consultations also allow for suggestions based on gaps or weaknesses.

    • Stage 2 refers to clients completing a rough draft of their CV, personal statement(s), or application in advance of the booked appointment. This includes a written demonstration of their unique backgrounds, knowledge, and skill sets to show the programs how they will be an asset if selected (draft CV and/or personal statements). At this stage, some clients prefer to book a 1:1 zoom consultation to discuss their progress and then receive feedback and suggestions on improving the final document(s). This depends on their individual needs and desires for their specific process. Some clients prefer to send a few documents by email to receive comments and suggestions in their documents or email reply. You can book a 60min or 90min session depending on how many documents you want to send. Email info@imgcareercounselling.com after you book your session if you need clarification on the number of documents to send.

    • Stage 3 refers to when clients have completed a final draft of their CV and personal statements. This is when you believe you cannot add more input to your document(s) and are looking for editing, grammar improvement, softening your language, and a cut down of your word count. You can book a 60min or 90min session depending on how many documents you want to send. Email info@imgcareercounselling.com after you book your session if you need clarification on the number of documents to send.
